I’m working on getting a new theme up here, along with a new title. That’s why things have been a mite quiet here: everything’s been behind the scenes. Any thoughts or suggestions for a new title? My first few options are Chicago Clouds, Of Dust And Glory, or Moth & Rust.
Well, it may be a little early on the calendar, but I was ready for a change. Thoughts on the new color scheme? Is it too much?
Having just commented on how meta-blogging is “dumb…” (I withdraw the comment, Geof, I am about to do it.)
Here’s what I’d like to get up here in the next week or three, assuming it will work: I’ll be putting up a page of some of my fiction writing. The reason I’ve refrained is that posting it to a public blog classifies a manuscript as “published,” thus most publishers will not accept it. And we can’t have that! If, however, I put it behind a sign-in page, it is then private to the “members” and is not “published.” So to read any of my work, you’ll have to register, but it’s worth it to me, because I’ll be able to share a bit.
I also hope to start posting pictures, maybe keep a little portfolio on a separate page, so keep your eyes out for that, as well. It’s my new, expensive, hobby, so I definitely hope to put that somewhere (along with iStock, if I ever do anything good enough).
And of course, my usual ramblings will continue here on the same bat channel.
I’m motivated. Really, I am. The question is time. I want to rework this whole blog, and once I get my camera (it’s on backorder), start posting more than just this rambling in 10 point Tahoma. I’m just not sure I can really afford the time to write my own css sheets, though I know I’d enjoy it. So for now, I’m going back to the old style. Hopefully not for long.
